Girls Night In 19th Nov 2010

The Cupcake Gallery hosted a Girls Night In Cupcake Night on 19th Nov to raise money for the Cancer Council.

It was a fantastic night with 86 ladies in attendance, all ready to be creative with fondant.

In total, we raised $3500 for cancer research

 The room was beautifully set up, thanks to the lovely ladies at Dural Baptist Church.

 My lovely mum shared her story about beating breast cancer

 My beautiful family and I all decked out in pink for the occasion

 Goodie bags for everyone with goodies donated by businesses

Everyone was taught 2 designs, then had to design 4 of their own.

There were prizes for the best 3 boxes on the night.

 Susan won first prize.

 Julie won 2nd prize

The Cupcake Gallery made front page news today (2 Nov 2010) in our local paper The Hills Shire Times. The article continues onto p.24.

Cancer Council 'Girls Night In' Cupcake Night

The Cupcake Gallery is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Cancer Council Girls Night In event.

The breast cancer cause is close to my heart as my own dear Mum fought and beat the decease about 8 years ago. So when I saw the ads on TV for Girls Night In, I just had to do something about it!

So come and attend a mini-workshop for a fraction of a normal workshop price and support a good cause!

Round up a few girl-friends have a great night of cupcake fun!

Ripples Pink Ribbon Breakfasts

The Cupcake Gallery was recently invited to take part in the

Ripples restaurants Pink Ribbon Breakfasts in support of breast cancer research.

My own mum fought and won the battle aginst breast cancer 8 years ago,

so this is a cause that is very close to my heart :o)

Guests at the Ripples Milsons Point breakfast were each treated to a delicious chocolate cupcake
topped with strawberry buttercream and fondant pink ribbon decoration.

Discount vouchers and 'cake cash' gift cards were also donated and given to guests
at the Ripples Milsons Point and Ripples Chowder Bay breakfasts.
