This cake was ordered for a little boy's 1st birthday. The mum wanted the figurine of her little boy to be dressed in a Chinese 'king' suit. The material was shimmery and had some beautiful oriental dragons on it which, due to the budget, I didn't replicate on the actual figurine itself. It would've taken a while to hand draw the intricate patterns all over the suit, and would've looked very impressive too! I was almost tempted to do it being the perfectionist that I am :o)
I also decided to try for horizontal stripes with this cake, which turned out to be a little bit more involved than I had expected! Besides a little bit of a wobbly near the top, I'm happy with the how it turned out, along with the number 1 'badge' at the front.
